The most revitalizing body washes to jumpstart your day and cap off your night
“Watch your back, but more importantly when you get out of the shower, dry your back. It's a cold world out there.” -DJ Khaled
When searching for the right body wash, it’s imperative to find a product that offers the perfect balance of essential elements: a fresh scent that’s not too overpowering, an invigorating cleanse strong enough to do the job without irritating, and a moisturizing element that doesn’t leave your skin feeling dryer than a popcorn fart.
Although they exist, it’s rare to find a body wash that checks all of these boxes while still being offered at a reasonable price. Lucky for you, we’ve done the heavy lifting in terms of research, and found what we believe to be the best body washes in all price ranges. Here are The Modern Gentleman’s Top 3:
Art of Sport Victory Body Wash
Athletes and scientists joined forces to create Art of Sport’s Victory as the perfect athletic body wash for men. AOS Victory Body Wash uses natural ingredients, like activated charcoal, to strip away dirt and clean out your pores. The activated charcoal also makes this body wash black in appearance, which, not going to lie, looks pretty hardcore coming out of the bottle. The wash also includes aloe vera and tea tree, which offers superior moisturization for athletes that shower frequently and are constantly on the go.
One of the selling points that customers rave about is the subtle “cool eucalyptus” smell, though a number of reviewers complain that the scent isn’t strong enough. AOS Victory Body Wash also lacks a strong exfoliating element, but at $8.99 for 16 fl. oz., it’s a pretty incredible bargain. This cleanser is a great and refreshing choice for athletes and non-athletes alike, and it has been awarded a good choice by The Modern Gentleman.
American Crew 3-in-1 Body Wash
One step up is the American Crew 3-in-1 Body Wash, which serves as both a shampoo/conditioner and body cleanser and offers ingredients to nourish both your hair and your skin. The sage leaf extract helps to make your hair shine, whereas the dimethicone detangles hair while moisturizing the skin. The citric acid ingredient also helps to revitalize damaged hair, leaving it soft and buttery smooth.
On the minus side, a few reviewers complained that the product lacked the signature American Crew scent, and that it was relatively quick to fade. This product can also be tough to rinse out, leaving your hair a little stickier than you might like. However, it’s an excellent value for the money, giving you twice as much product as the AOV Body Wash for a slightly lower price tag of $8.80. This offering is definitely a better choice for Modern Gentlemen, if we do say so ourselves.
Jack Black Turbo Wash
Jack Black’s Turbo Wash is a sulfate-free cleanser that works on both your hair and your body. The natural ingredients, such as rosemary and eucalyptus, give you a refreshingly cool aroma, while the arnica and juniper berry soothe your skin and help you feel relaxed. It’s perfect to use before work to awaken your senses or after a grueling workout to soothe tired and achy muscles.
This body wash does not hold back on the natural, high-quality ingredients that give you a moisturizing, yet gentle cleanse. At $50, however, Turbo Wash is quite a bit more expensive than the two options listed above. However, the juice is certainly worth the squeeze and will not disappoint. Jack Black Turbo Wash is the perfect body wash for all of your needs. No matter what time of day, it is sure to clean, invigorate, and jump-start your body, which is why it takes the cake on this review and is awarded best body wash by The Modern Gentleman.
Until next time…stay suave Gentlemen.
